1st off, i liked formula 1 around the hill/schumacher time,i considered attending a gp but at that time i couldn't really afford the weekend.eventually my interest wained.now that time has passed i watch the occasional gp and the odd wsb/bsb event on tv and now i know why my interest in f1 came to an end- they are totally shafting its punters! yes you with the £30 bangladeshi made f1 tee shirt sat reading this. what do you get for your £200 gp ticket ? you get to be treat like a herd of sheep and lent a patch of ground to sit on after buying their £10 burgers(hiked up by the f1's commission) if it rains whilst you are there and you carnt get your car out,its hailed as a great party by the media,in reality you are the joke after paying all that money.have you been on the 'official' f1 website(that you are paying for) there is no forum??? why? because they are running it as cheaply as possible and cannot be bothered for its fans, plus i suspect they don't want to here any complaints.what about the stars? little rich boys getting a seat purely via daddy's wallet/contacts(i admit to the rare exception).i cannot think of anyone on earth i could resent giving my money to-but you do...this 'sport' is swimming in money(yours) and the pigs are well and truly in the trough.wake up and recognise it.going back to the word 'sport' well lets face it,it isn't. its a lord mayors parade,if something goes wrong and the wrong person wins it is hailed as the second coming of christ and how fantastic the racing was....urghhh. watch the bike racing,it has proper blokes you could meet in the street doing the riding. you can actually get to talk to them-totally unlike f1 where,if by the grace of the lord you did, they would return some corporate bull... the teams openly reveal their technical advice, you can even buy a machine that is 80% as good as theirs for under £15 grand.and to top it all when you go to a race (for £20 including camping) you haven't a clue who is going to win-not even in the last 200 yards! F1,ITS ALL ABOUT GETTING YOUR MONEY ! right off to get my dinner. Ste

Your argument would be easier on the eyes if you learned some punctuation and capitalization skills.

That said....you should stay home. The world is too intricate for you. Perhaps a cabin the mountains...completely off the grid. No disappointment up there.

Aren't all sports events total ripoffs now anyway? Why someone would spend ages registering on here seemingly just to make that obvious point is beyond me. :hehe:

Do you have any idea how much it costs to moor my yacht in Monaco and Yas Marina on F1 weekends?

You are happier because you don't have to think about how overpriced and overrated F1 is

We are happier because we don't have to be subjected to your opinion

The troll does have a point though. F1 is a very expensive game, but it's not too expensive when you're at home all excited for the qualifying session to see who's made progress over the last 2 weeks, and on Sunday for the lights to go of!!! :drink:

And yes, a trip to the circuit once in 3 years...to soak up the atmosphere. Worth it to me. :D

yeah ok so f1 may be a tad expensive, but if your enthusiastic about the sport you'll pay!!, me and my dad went to silverstone this year and even though it was mainly for me, he thought it was good too!, plus we had a great days racing plus the result for lewis and jenson...! £115 each is nothing for what i got in return!! :D

right, i think i've calmed down now.in fact i will opologise for my post. i do get wound up about being ripped off.i must accept that when there is a passion in life, money is secondary.quick analogy.if you wanted to take a loved one on a round the world cruise then spending big money is enevitable.however,if the cruise company that had exclusive sea rights wanted your soul as payment-thats where i have a problem.f1 is abusing its monopoly.extracing maximum profit from a passion(as are the football league) it is what killed my interest.i detest f1 the company and its players. revolt whilst you still have time......please consider changing to wsb/bsb. i say this as a non biker, its not glamorous its honest though. i think i'm going off on one again...................

I appreciate the much more civil restatement of your opinion, a genuine thank you for that. I do agree with the expense, everyone does, even some of the race venues on the calendar can't afford the F1 spectacle so it's not just the fans. Perhaps with additional revenue coming into the sport from other markets like India, US and Russia it will help to lower the price of admission everywhere else for fans and promoters.

But you can still enjoy other sports and you can enjoy F1 without ever going to see a race live.
