I can smell the sunday roast coming on nicely!!!

I would say that my favourite dish would be roast dinner. I gets even better at Christmas and I wish us Brits did Thanks giving day purely for the food!

What's yours?

I think Indian is fantastic! The only thing is whenever we go to an Indian restaurant I say to myself right I've got to choose something that is not chicken tikka masala and then just give in!

:hehe:

At least you recognise the flaw, if your feeling brave go to a local curry house actually run by Indians. You might want to sleep on the toilet though.

Ropa Vieja (it's made from shredded flank steak) with rice and beans, and fried bananas. I'm attaching a pic... they threw in a slice of avocado here to boot!

I started salivating during this post. :)

I'm the opposite - absolutely love chocolate but generally dislike anything chocolate flavoured.

I like food way too much to narrow it down :( Top five things would probably be si yuk (Chinese crispy belly pork), kaya (Malaysian-style coconut curd/jam thing), bakkwa (Malaysian/Singapore sweet dried pork, sort of like jerky), custard creams and flavoured breads. I'm hungry now :(

Can you do an english to american translation of this? When I buy suet it's to put in the back yard bird feeder.

I'm no chef but my nana used to be a dinner lady many, many years ago and she always used suet when making dumplings or Jam roly poly, they were heavenly. British school dinners were lovely before they started with this turkey twizzler rubbish.

Basically suet based meals are those really stodgy British pies and puddings that the rest of the world seems to detest but I love with a passion.
