Hello! I would like to know if formula 1 teams have meteorlogists. Do they need them? Or it doesn't matter because they have a special program on their computer and anyone can see how the weather will be? I would really appreciate if someone could answer my questions. Thank you.

I'm sure tv coverage has mentioned talking to the teams "weather person", so I'm sure they do. Why not email a couple of teams asking?

Some of them send people to stand about a mile or so from the track and radio in what the weathers doing.

I searched the internet and on the official sites of the F1 teams they say that they need people on technical jobs such as engineering, design aerodynamics or others. The problem is that most of these jobs are in different countries. For example, Williams team need someone to go to Doha, Qatar, in Asia, at the Technical Center Qatar. But no signs of a meteorologist, unfortunately.
