Well at last the truth has emerged, FACTS now given by Charlie Whiting the F1 race director at Silverstone condemns ferrari's whinging to the dustbin regarding Alonso's drive through penalty. Race control told Ferrari 3 times to yield the position back to Kubica, Ferrari refused to yield. Ferrari were informed immediately after the incident.

Quote Charlie Whiting"Although the penalty was given nine laps after Alonso passed Kubica, Whiting said Ferrari was advised to let Kubica through immediately, but that the team decided against it.

"We told Ferrari three times that in my opinion they should give the position back to Kubica," Whiting was quoted as saying by Autosprint magazine.

"And we told them that immediately, right after the overtaking manoeuvre. On the radio, I suggested to them that if they exchange position again, there would be no need for the stewards to intervene.

"But they didn't do that and on the third communication they said that Kubica was by then too far back to let him regain the position.

"It's not true at all that the stewards took too long to decide. For us the facts were clear immediately: Alonso had gained an advantage by cutting the track."

This is actually in another thread I think. Problem is Ferrari are trusting this 'guy' (He tried justifying his idiotic 'overtake' straight after passing Kubica over the radio) who they falsely recognise to be the 'next Michael' only problem is this guy needs therapic help and also is not in the same level of driving as Michael was when at Ferrari.

Once Stefano realises this and starts being 'boss' again, Ferrari might have a chance to progress up the field.

Hahahah that is the worst argument I have ever read.

And again there you go with your "Schumacher myth" s***. Read up on your history before make such outrageous accusations.

LOL

If you look at the overtake in question you'll see it was a damn fine move. The move was ALMOST 100% legal... but right now, if there's any doubts, the position should be given back. But Kubica should have done some real racing and recognized he had lost the bloody corner. Look at the pass, he clearly lost the corner, but Alonso had nowhere else to go but to the grass although he had the best track position.

Should have given the P back... but it is not so clear cut as some want it to be.

damn fine move? if it was so damn fine he would have finished the job and not needed to escape onto the grass to finish the job.

Bad overtake and he should have known to give the place back immediately but Fernando is acting strangely this year with some weird moments and weird errors... think he is feeling the pressure!!

Definitely feeling the pressure. Maybe the pressure of having to win, in a car that maybe can't win? who knows... Also, the Valencia thing, that has to be a TOUGH pill to swallow. Will take him at least a win to get over it hehe

The move was a very good move. Difficult! but he had the corner won. Only went to the grass to avoid contact, but not to make the move (there's difference). Should have given the p back though.. you're right.

For example, the Magny cours penalty, Lewis had nothing else to do but to miss the corner, but because of the position and speed he brought. Even without Vettel there, Lewis was going to miss the corner (considering the speed and position he was in).
