The big four:- Williams, McLaren, Lotus, Ferrari.

These are the four teams who have had 7 consecutive poles in a row. When this has happened it has always resulted in a world championship win. If Red Bull get pole today they join this elite group.
The statistics for teams with 7 or more consecutive poles make interesting and suprising reading. They are thus
(the numbers in brackets are the amount of consecutive poles)
Williams-3 times (24 10 9 )
McLaren -5 times (17 12 9 7 7)
Lotus - twice (10 7)
Ferrari-twice (7 7)

When I read the title and the first line of the post, I thought that you had gone crazy, then I read on and it's interesting indeed; for a team in relative infancy to the other teams mentioned it's somewhat amazing what Red Bull have achieved in just six years.

It is an amazing achievement. The common thread through those statistics that jumps out at me is a good designer.
Newey, Chapman.

Chapman was more groundbreaking than Newey. Although there are variables as to why of course lol.

But yes it is rather amazing what Red Bull has achieved in the space of a number of years. I suppose that happens when you have reasonable cash flow, a brand which can attract sponsors media and staff. And also a leading young-driver program in the Jnr Formulas and of course through the "B" team Toro Rosso.

Red Bull not exactly my favourite team in the world but they deserve a congratulations for this impressive feat.

Yep. 1992 French Grand Prix - 1993 Japanese Grand Prix.

Ahh, the days of the almighty FW14B and FW15C... :cloud9:

Now Red Bull need to ditch Webber and get a clear 2nd driver who will be willing to assit Vettel and not wreck his chances

Although I doubt Webber will be ditched; Red Bull have lost much of the respect that they have built up over the past six years in one day...
