The time for the inaugural Forumula1.com raceday meet-up is almost upon us, and it's not too late to join us! I know it's warm and comfortable hiding behind your monitors, but imagine how much more fun it is to talk F1 with fellow aficionados, watching the race, with a pint of beer in hand.

What?: The Turkish Grand Prix
Where?: York
When?: Sunday 30 May. Meeting at York station around 11.30, getting to the venue before 12.00 in time for the start of the BBC coverage
Who?: Some of the regular contributors on here & the chatroom - and you, if you're up for it!

If you're interested in coming, drop me a PM via this site and I'll reply with more details (including the precise venue, meet-up time and some contact details). A few of us are booking rooms in a "reasonably priced" hotel nearby - if you'd like to do that, I can let you know which one we're using.

Juliet :)

Would love to go along to one of these, but York is just a bit far for me (saying that I've been to Sheffield and back in the same day once this year). A four hour drive there and back, or £80 return on the train is just a little steep. If there's ever one in Glasgow or Edinburgh I'll be there! :)

From memory, I think York was one of the most northerly venues suggested - mainly because there are a group of people around manchester/ yorkshire / lancashire. We had discussed doing something a bit further south next time - for those like han and alex who can't make it too far north. We'll see how this one goes and go from there - we could potentially do one every couple of months during the season, but let's not get ahead of ourselves!
