I think the guy can actually be good F1 driver material. Yes, he's in a rather crappy car, but he's managed to bring the car home, and in a way he inspires to me more confidence than Bruno Senna. Maybe he's not F1 champ stuff, but more of a consistent, reliable driver like Heidfeld. It's so hard to shine when you're in a moving chicane, though...

What do you guys think?

He's done pretty well I think. It's hard to tell his pace though.

He seems to have a real level head on him, and works well with the team.

heh, like how you put in a picture in case we don't know who he is.

I think Brundle said that the accident happened today whilst Trulli and Chandok were fighting for first out of the new teams

I think he has been faster than Senna a few times this year, but like others have said, its hard to judge their real pace

It sounded like Dallara didn't want to improve the car at all, and that HRT are looking at subcontracting the work to other companies, which will hopefully see the car improve some.

The Lotus cars seem to be catching up with the back of the more experienced teams, and this is why i partially dont understand how Chandok was leading the new teams

Actually, i just looked at the results, turns out none of the new teams had cars running at the end.

They were the last two of the new teams running, the others having all retired previously. Trulli had a problem at his pit stop, which kept him there for quite some time.

I like Senna and Chandhok. I dont think you can pick one yet.

No, I'd argue against it. He's driving for HRT, so being able to draw conclusions is next to impossible. Apparently Senna believe's his car has damage somewhere. Considering there hasn't been any confirmation of that, it makes Hispania sound pretty unprofessional. I mean the team didn't even build the car, so how are they meant to fix it.

Put them in something drivable like a Williams and there might be a completely different picture.

Id agree with that. You cant choose on the car they're in. I liked them both in GP2, but in that category I think senna Senna was better.

There is more pace in the HRT car - I think Klien managed to prove that, by going half a second faster than Senna with no experience of the car whatsoever. The two current drivers just need time. They both have talent (Chandhok has surprised me, considering his GP2 performances) and just need to settle in to the sport. Karun seems like a really nice person, always looks quite cheerful, even his comments after todays race were positive and he came close to an accident that could have killed him!

He nearly lost his head today!

I think he's decent potential. Not a full raw racer like Kobayashi, Hulkenberg or Petrov..... but unfortunately Kob and Hulk are having lots of issues.

That looked bloody frightening when Trulli's car went across his cockpit, I thought the worst when he was holding his head . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCy4b0Jb_c0

Yup that was scary. Specially cause there were parts of Trulli's car flying around, so some parts could have gotten to him. Luckily he was safe.

Its pretty frustrating/embarrassing to see how hard the back-end teams are struggling........ if getting a pit stop right is an achievement, the race must be an even harder feat.
