What do you guys think? Are the drivers using a magnet embedded in the glove or are they actually using the back of the hand area of the glove covered in black to actually press on something?

The reason I'm leaning to the magnet theory is because they don't seem to be pressing at all it's almost as if (at least from what I could see Alonso doing) they are just resting the back of the hand on a contact area. You don't actually see the effort. Alonso's fingertips are barely touching the steering wheel.

Didn't Martin Brundle say on his gridwalk that he could see some tube in there? I can't remember what he said exactly...

looks like the left hand glove has extra padding to help block the duct. im thinking not much force would be needed, by blocking it surely it would create a slight vacuum.

still, its more 'distracting' than the knee-operated system from Mclaren.

atleast with McLarens its logical to use your braking leg as you stop blocking it when you use the brake.

as youve said in other threads, years of development have probably shown this is the most efficient way to make it work. while teams are just sticking it on to their cars have to deal with it best they can, as we have seen by Ferrari's version.

I think he meant tube through the chassis?
