Hello,

Just wondering,
does anyone think mark webber is the most over rated driver in F1

he can never win from pole, nearly always finishes lower than where he started
and if he qualifie
s outside top 6 he will be nowhere ????

Webber use to be one of my favourite drivers but he disappoints me now. Last seaon he could be forgiven as he was recovering from his accident, but this year with the fastest car on the grid he's making too many mistakes. I know its only three races in, so maybe he'll sort it out but the excuses cant go on indefinately.

I think this year he's trying too hard thats the impression I'm getting anyway, probably why he's making mistakes

Currently he knows that Red Bull need to improve to do that they must win. So he is pushing himself too hard to win because if he doesn't Vettel won't stay so Red Bull won't get money and he gets left with a bad team.

Every time he is on pole?

He has only had pole twice, Spa in 09 and Malaysia 10.

He won spa and second in Malaysia, if his pit crew didnt stuff up in Malaysia it may have been a different story

I think that Mark is definitely not overrated; he will never be world champion and I think he realises that at this stage in his career but it a good stable driver that will pull in the points; I put him in a similar category as DC; But I like Webber mostly because his is a fighter; he showed that throughout his career.

Yeah, I don't think Webber is overated, simply because I don't think anyone really rates him as world champion. Great driver none the less. I mean, what a drive last year at the Nurburgring, and to be right alongside Vettel in terms of speed is no small feat either.

People are saying that this is Webber's year. I'm torn. :(

I really want Vettel to win this year's WDC, but I think this is Webber's last chance. Although he has never looked like he would win a world championship. But then again, he had never looked like he would win a race until last year. (A few exceptions I know... but stay with me here. )

Chances though are very slim. I do think Webber has proven himself to be a very valuable member of the team so far this year. He has scored points when his team mate has not. But this is what you expect from a number 2 driver. (Which is what I believe Webber is.)

Either way, if either of the Red Bull drivers wins the WDC I'll be stoked.

DEFO!!!!

Gosh i don't know what it is but results? And consistancy does not follow him. He has been lucky and has been given a good ride at the irhgt time. Not talented, not nothing. Not headed and think's he's it?

Webber V Vettel = Vettel would be the winner. He may be a little annoying but Mark makes it hard not to hate the bloke.

I don't think he is overrated. There are others who are.
Regarding his character, he seems pretty down-to-earth. Not a bad guy.

Maybe he is pressured because of his age? I don't like to assume but people have asked him about retirement so maybe he feels as though he should push harder to prove people wrong? Just a wild guess.

Surely he's not that old?

If he is pressured then how must Mr Lambada be feeling as he realises that the 2010 Williams isn't as good as expected?
