After observing Alguersuari keeping Schuey at bay for long periods of the GP last weekend, it got me thinking.

In years gone by were MSC was dominant it struck fear into other drivers looking into their mirrors and seeing this bright red Ferrari coming towards them. But with MSC in a Silver car does it have the affect? Don't think so.

Probably thinking "Ah its only Schuey" not "Oh s*** here he comes" so is it Schumacher being rusty or other drivers not seeing him as a threat anymore?

I think Schumacher's car had a bit of damage to the suspension and as a result he will have found it more difficult to pass Algy.

But Algy being half Schumacher's age will have been keen to keep one of the all time greats behind him and show no fear. This is pretty much what Schumacher himself did when he first came in to F1 and had no fear of Senna and co.

But most importantly, Schumacher got by eventually. :P

they would see his red helmet. so they would see red still! :D

is this just a Schumacher fan reeeeaching for an excuse here? :hehe: But no i dont think anything has changed while at Ferrari people raced him just as they do now, just his car isnt as superior as what he was used to having and he is abit rusty atm but it will all come back to him. His raw speed is still there so it wont be too long until good results start coming.

Fact is, he's just not the threat he was before.

I like that.

You can see this one of two ways. Either Schuy is rusty, or Algy did a damn good job.

No driver should be intimidated just because Michael Schumacher is behind them. Taking the situation from an athlete's perspective, I'm certainly not intimidated by a sprinter who is faster than me. I still run as fast as I can.

I see it that way.

I think he had damage from the first corner hit, but it was still funny when he was dicing with Di Grassi :D

Maybe not just YET but I certainly believe that will change very soon.

He certainly is good at putting cars in places it shouldn't be but something is really amiss. he needs a better car - no doubt about it.

Given that his team is Mercedes, his boss is Ross Brawn and he is Michael Schumacker(sp) I wouldent write him or his team off for a while yet ;)

Thing is Nick Heidfeld is sitting there as the 3rd driver, who to be honest I reckon will match or even beat Rosberg so it makes Schumacher's pace look worse.

My opinion of Michael coming back remains the same, he should not have returned to the sport.

True, if you finish on a high then you have nothing to prove and everything to loose by comming back

You guys are missing the point! That's exactly it: he doesn't have to prove anything anymore, so he's in it for the fun he was missing in the past 3 years. Any top placing would be just icing on the cake for him, so chill out and enjoy the ride
