So the World Feed has a new graphics package - the third package is as many years. Putting aside the aesthetics (Which are debatable) the graphics are proving a bit controversial with viewers. For starters, FOM TV have seen fit to make them less informative. For god only knows what reason, they've removed the list at the left with the drivers' ShortNames and Positions. The graphics at the bottom display such information only infrequently - and only show 8 Positions at a time, compared to around 10 for the old list.

The graphics are also kind of...Small. Considering how infrequently they appear, and so how important they are to be seen clearly, they take up a miniscule %age of the screen. Despite this, the post-session results screen only shows 10 positions at a time - even though there is room for several more. That wouldn't be a problem if there were 20 or 30 cars. But there are 24. As such, the results screen has a superfluous third page showing only a few cars. It just looks silly.

It remains to be seen how the new package performs in the race, but so far it looks pretty rubbish. I really don't see why they changed it at all, but if they had to, why did they make it less useful? Anyway, rant over. What do you guys think of the new package? or

There were a few compliants in our household as well that a list didn't appear down the side of the screen

The new graphics look quite nice on my opinion. Quite slick. But lets just hope the list not appearing was a one off.

The look is nice, the information presented is far too little, though. The list on the left is very important, so if they have removed that, then it is definitely a step backwards. For me, it's not too much of a problem, since I tend to have LT up, although that does mean I have to take attention away from the TV for a second to check something.

Surely FOM will converse with the broadcasters and improvements will be made.

In a race environment I won't miss it as much but in qualifying it was horrible. Especially at the end when a driver you're keeping an eye on finishes his hot lap and then six or seven other people finish after him... I felt like I was counting cards at a black jack table trying to keep track of it all.

Didn't see a problem with last years, the white was much more visible. Also the 'results' should show either 12 per page or 10 then 14 results, the 'Lotus & HRT' page seems pointless.

They need the order down the left side of the screen back, it's too hard to follow the practice sessions and especially qualifying unless you're near a computer or laptop and have Live Timing up as well.

It wasn't as bad during the race today. I wouldn't be surprised if they have the full position listings back for quali next time out.

It wasnt as bad but it wasnt good. The strip across the bottom giving places was about two laps behind reality.

Funny how they brought back the positions at the left side of the screen right at the end of the race, so here's hoping they've learned.

Mm. It was a bit better in the race. But I increasingly dislike the design. It's just harder to read than the old graphics.
