It does seem American biased.

That's because the people surveyed were it's readers, business people, not your average global citizen. So what they admire is the profitability in a company and it's continuous long term stock price growth. So I'm not surprised there are as many American companies on the list.

I absolutely loathe Wal-Mart and I am honestly disgusted over the fact that it even appears on this list.
Not a big fan of Apple, either. Or McDonald's.

My heart sinks whenever I'm forced into a WalMart visit. Never willingly shop there.

They didn't put Tesco in there. :P

I neither wrote the article nor name anything "world" so I'd appreciate if you don't throw the "you yanks" term around here... if that was the case we'd all be on a Nascar forum.

I agree with the world champion term, and it can only truly be applied in the Olympics, and real "world championship" competitions. Then again where do the top tier (global) players compete in basketball, baseball, football, and hokey take place?

Meh, I was trying to joke, my first point was a proper one that if it is Australian whats wrong with it calling so.

My second point was its not really a boast to call something Australian anyway.
