Bernie's huffing something if the thinks McLaren or Ferrari will miss races. Only USF1, Campos Meta 1, Lotus and Force India are likely to miss races and Lotus is a maybe. Woking & Maranello will be at all the races.

interesting, that means FOTA can control F1. what would happen if because Bernie or the FIA try to impose a new rule that they did not like and FOTA decide that non of them are gonna turn up to a GP.

The amount of money they would lose from angry sponsors, and the effect that would have on gaining future sponsorship deals, could be quite huge. I don't think they would risk it unless it was something really, really big. And even then...

Hi Guys .. I just read the report on espnf1 website and if they do ask to miss races in preparation to attend thereafter where does that leave StefanGP. could they be allowed to races as standby at all?? - without having a entry ??. I dont think its even allowed . StefanGP said they will be at the first race ready if teams dont pitch. Something tells me that soon we will hear that the FIA allows standby teams ( I think ) and surely Bernie would not approve of their plan to ship equipment to bahrain if they may not be allowed to race. what you guys think ?

If Macca and Ferrari missed, it would spice up the season.

The Bernie works in mysterious ways. I'm sure he could get the FiA to allow Stefan to race without too much effort.

Teams CAN miss races, but there is a million euro fine to go with it

Is this million Euro fine payable directly into Bernies bank account by any chance?

Doesn't seem like that really helps out the new teams. If they can't afford to make a given race, how are they gonna afford a million euro fine?
