I think Kimi was the best in F1 this year while in the overall ranking of best drivers for 2009, Hirvonen should be first.

Hirvonen is a good choice.

But I think it was Button, or maybe Vettel.

That's laughable. Did they forget about the first half of his season?

Autosport get it right!!!

EDIT:
Oops. I misread that. I read it as "no Lewis Hamilton". My bad.

You mean the first half of 2009 when he was racing in a stock 1992 Ford Fiesta? Once they got the car sorted out he turned his season around to become the best-performing driver of the last half of the season.

He was also a cheat, lying three times to the Steward's faces - once after being shown evidence proving he was lying. His car was nowhere near bad as it is continuously (Retroactively) made out to have been and - at any rate - his driving was mediocre at best at the time anyway.

The car was very bad the data is out there to prove it. Was seconds off the pace pre season and was well over a second off the pace at Oz even though the track really suited the car. But your right about Lewis's screw ups at Oz, Monaco and Monza.

I can't seem to find this autosport list. I don't pay for f1 info on their website, but it seems they have forgotten the first half of the season alright.

So was Jenson's especially in the second half of the season, yet he still manage to "scrape" the WDC, wait till next season and Jenson will become Lewis Hamilton's little b1tch :D

Your first point is true but there looking at his driving not his personality or demeanour.

Its not like Jenson has never been involved in cheating either.

The Mclaren at the start of the year qualified around about a second slower than Jenson's yet he still managed to drag the car up to 3rd place (only to loose it again though stupid actions).

His Drive in Hungary was flawless winning from 4th on the Grid..and Singapore's pole to Win was amazing all in a car that his team mate could only just mange to get in the points.

All this ment he was the highest scoring driver of the 2nd half of 2009

Jenson's start to the season was really great but alot of it was the car if you put Lewis, Alonso or Kimi in that same car as Jensons team mate i expect they would beat Jenson with it.
