From Pitpass:
accusations of bias in the FIA have been thick in the air since it handed a lifetime ban to Flavio Briatore. The accusations are nothing new and similar sentiments have been widely reported many times before.
However, no one has ever attacked the FIA in an independent court with such strong allegations.
Come January, 5th, and we'll see if this could develop in something bigger and change the shape of FIA and F1..

He can't win. Everyone knows Flaby-o was an :censored: (you can think up your own word there. Always has been, he deserves it just from being an :censored: lol.

yeah, he's not a clean guy, that seems clear! what can we say regarding Fia though?
all I can think of is, a big fish ate a small fish, and Flavio could have a point. Again, this does not make him mr.clean.
what if he's succesful in his appeal?

Edit: If you read the whole article, there's an interesting part near the end concerning a previous 'fixing' involving briatore, mosley and ecclestone, which could have favored the then-benetton driver schumacher against hill, and ecclestone and mosley's finances. could be old news to y'all, but it captured my attention here. anyway, mosley and ecclestone do have issues of conflict of interest, that's why briatore's appeal might crack the actual f1 powers system

HE IS THE MAN

i assume you mean that in the sense that "he is the man...that convinced piquet to crash?"

Piquet didn't need any convincing.

If he sorts out the FIA he IS! He may not be been a pillar of respectability but give me him over outright corrupt any day. At least he doesnt try to hide what he is.Hope he wins and vindicates all the others that have been shafted by the corrupt FIA.

The FIA (Max Mosley) was probably biased but I don't believe the punishment is unfair, I think that Symonds got off lightly really. Briatore has always been a trouble maker and F1 will be better off without him, whenever there was controversy, Briatore, Luca Di Montezemolo and John Howett were the ring leaders, Howett has gone, Briatore has gone, now all we need is for Di Montezemolo to disappear and F1 should be harmonious.

Simple facts: Piquet got away with it, Flavio was banned for life. Witness X remains a mystery.

The "trial" was a farce, so even though Flabio is a c**t, the lawsuit is necessary
