What are general opinions ? Will there/ Wont there be a british grand prix next year ? i have been for the past few years now and id hate not being able to go. how bad would it damage F1 ?

Bernie has today said that he may re-open talks with Donnington if the right funding turns up, so it seems to me that all the people concerned do want a British GP. I personally would prefer the GP to be at Silverstone, but thats just me, i dont know what consensus is on here.
I wish they would just get the issues sorted out, and quickly. If i was Silverstone, i have to admit i would be tempted to tell Bernie where to get off!
I think that F1 does need a British GP. There are a few reasons for this, but the biggest one, 2 back to back British world champions. There is clearly passion here, so there is no doubt, we need it, just a question of where.
Im sticking with what i have said all along (since last years British GP), the British GP 2010 will be at Silverstone.

I think if I had to lay down a pound on this, I'd say no British GP this year and back next at Donington? Bear in mind that all the corperate money is being spent elswhere like Ascot, Wimbeldon etc because of the delay, and of course the WorldCup final In South Africa is being played on the same day as the British GP. This has allsorts of implications?
I just wonder how good the new Donington Park will look in 2011?

i didnt realise that. i hope that FOM and the FIA realise that because in reality pretty much every other sport should re-arrange round it, crowd would be empty at either venue IF England were in the final.
They should make sure no GP clahses with major games in the world cup, especially the GP's in Europe.

The grand prix would be over by 3pm and the world cup final wouldn't start until 8pm so wouldn't clash.Although I would be in South Africa and have to miss it if as miricle happened and we got there :hehe:

No British GP; no Belgian GP, shall we rename F1 as Formula 'Tilke'? It's slowly moving that way. :(

I wouldn't go that far but it's certainly not what it used to be with traditional tracks disappearing one by one. I really hope that the British GP isn't the next casualty!

It would be!! there has to be a Britsh GP!! June/July just wont be the same without camping at Silverstone!! I will be suffering sever withdrawal symptoms that wont be pleasant to witness if we dont get Silverstone.
