Nico Rosberg will be their lead driver, with Nick Heidfeld his likely partner according to bbc

Buttons surely going to McLaren then, but Kimi looks like he misses out! I am wondering what McLaren will do on their engine front. I do hope they buy the BMW engine plant. Even if they have to wait until 2011 so they can design their car around it.

:( Happy for Brawn (apart from the loss of their 'independent' status), but it's the end of an era for Mclaren... :crying:

start of a new era for McLaren, the way i see it both McLaren and Mercedes wanted to become complete constructors so its an amicable split.

I like this, Mclaren are now a fully indipendent team we have 6 years nearly to source another engine and we'll have a fully functioning prodiction car program by then.

Big repsect to merc tho since they could of just got rid of us.

Black Mclarens in 2010 then :D:D

Hopfully we'll see a Full on Mclaren Works team like Ferrari.

Oh and Finally AKR can't say its Mercades F1.

Unlike FIAT f1. :P

Fiat is Italian so I don't care if they own Ferrari. All from the same country so makes no difference it is Ferrari owned by Fiat or something else Italian.

Mercedes. Nice road cars, like anything German they are great. Good to see them part ways with McLaren as I have always favoured BMW and Audi over Merc cars since Mercedes had powered McLaren in the later 90s. This will change now.
