I think everyone expects the top two teams next year to be Ferrari and McLaren.
But what interests me, is not which of those teams will come out top. But their driver line-ups. Kimi is pretty much assured to be driving for McLaren. So we have McLaren - Kimi & Lewis, Ferrari - Massa & Alonso. We've seen the massa, alonso, hamilton, raikkonen situation before, in 2007. But now of course, we have Kimi and Alonso switching places.
Some people are expecting there to be conflict at McLaren again. Lewis has been McLaren's star driver for years before he even entered F1, and has been the clear No. 1 the last 2 years, bringing McLaren their first championship since Haikkenen. However, McLaren are extremely fond of Kimi, and some expect McLaren to shift a large amount of focus towards Kimi, something that will apparently annoy Lewis. It's hard to see that either driver would create conflict, but then again, the conflict in 2007 surely surprised.
Ferrari on the other hand. Massa has already set the tone at Ferrari, with Massa claiming 100% that Alonso was in on the scandal that arguably cost him the world championship. We've seen these two come to blows once before, and whats to say it won't happen again. Both drivers desperately want to be No1 at Ferrari, and neither will settle for less.
It's interesting to see which team could could provoke more drama, and just what could result from it.
