I know it's a little early for a thread on this, but who isn't really looking forward to this race?!?

I'd like Rubens to win and Button to wrap up the title, but i dare say Hamilton is the big favourite on paper here...

i dont think it will suit McLaren, infact i see it favouring Redbull!

double that. Hamilton also said that it's wont suit their car. Rubens to win, Vettel 2nd and Button no points PLZ

I'm really hoping for a Button DNF and a Vettel win. Failing that, Rubens finally winning the Brazilian GP would kick bottom. Traction is important at Interlagos and I've always thought this was McLaren's weakness. The Red Bull hasn't been the best coming out of slow corners either, losing time in the last sector chicanes at Catalunya and Suzuka

I think they're fine on a track with high speed and medium speed as long as they can run a medium to high downforce setup. They seem to struggle in low downforce guise which makes me think that they aren't getting what they need from the tires unless they really push them into the ground. Brazil is medium downforce I think the balance of the car at Interlagos is different to at other twisty tracks like Hungary...

My thinking is that the middle section is pretty tight and twisty, and McLaren have had decent mechanical grip all season, and the other two sectors have two long straights where the Merc engine and KERS come into play... hmm.

That said, Trulli has said he expects Toyota to do well here, which i found strange given the apparent strengths and weaknesses of their car!

For whatever reason, McLaren haven't been quick around Interlagos in recent years. Their pace last year was poor, and 2007 Alonso dropped off the lead Ferrari's like a brick. It's been like bogey track lately.

On the other hand, Truili is almighty around here over one lap. 2nd on the grid last year, 3rd on the grid in 2006. I see Massa and Truili being very similar in terms of driving style, and both drivers are almighty around Interlagos. So Truili could be a factor considering the pace of Toyota last weekend. So I'm going to say that Truili could very well grab pole position at Brazil.

Red Bull actually have a surprisingly good record around Interlagos. Webber was the quickest driver behind the lead Ferrari's and McLaren's in 2007 before a mechanical retirement. In 2008 I'm sure we all remember Vettel's great drive to 4th place ahead of Hamilton. So Red Bull could still be in for the win.

But really, who can predict the pecking order at race this year. It's always a mystery and we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm hoping Mr N Hulkenberg will be driving in car No.17.

In brazil?
Why would he be?

cos nakjima (sp?) is rubbish and hulk has already finished gp2.

Yeah he's rubbish but Williams will keep him to the end of the season.
Plus they will still have Toyota engines in Brazil

:hehe:

I think the team should paint "Kick Me" on the back of Kazuki's rear wing in the final 2 races.
