Just for fun, true F1 fans tend to sport merchandise of their favourite driver/team. Given what seems to be a mostly European member forum where F1 is alive and well, feel free to share some stories while boasting your apparel.

Case in point, wearing an official Kimi Räikkönen/"Ferrari Red" shirt to a Lance Armstrong gig with a stage that took place here in Cali; this guy saw my shirt and yelled "Go Kimi! Is he still with McLaren?"

It's no wonder F1 doesn't bother with the States...

I only wear this Kimi hat when I go to races, and its always a conversation starter. Every American F1 fan I've talked to is either a Ferrari, McLaren, or Alonso fan. Its cool though, the only thing I dont like about the hat is that there is a pretty big Ferrari logo on the right hand side.

British stick to their guns? You really think the British have guns?

No doubt the British have better F1 coverage, more team access, an actual in country race, etc etc...but don't bring guns into this discussion. Those liberal sissy socialist limp wristed pacifists don't have any guns. Aint that right Tex?

I am also in the states and when I tell people I am a crazy F1 fan, they usually reply with something like "are those the cars with the wings?" or "what's F1?". I plan on buying USF1 gear when it becomes available, I will probably be able to wear it around for a few years before anyone will say anything about it.

in montclair ca. , the hobby store Pegasus hobbies sells some f1 team crew shirts *they have them hanging from teh ceiling above the isles *, been wanting to get one for a while but hard to justify over $50 or so for a shirt at that time . I havent been there in a good year so i dont know if they still got them, but they have like F1 diecast models too.

When i was a kid like 11 or so, i used to race r/c cars, and was racing at the r/c track in riverside back in 94 or 95, i remember some guy with a Benetton crew shirt, i didnt know much about F1 at the time besides the tamiya r/c cars, but i knew that shirt was in relation to F1 and i thought it was pretty cool.. So i always wanted to try to find one of those crew shirts.

I do want to get one of those crew shirts, but id think alot of unknowing people might think im some mechanic or something lol

in Spain i couldn't get a Lorenzo shirt so i got a Vale one. Men were shotuing Valentino, Valentino for the win on Sunday. What happeneed to Pedrosa?

But it was a good convo starter in pubs etc.

My Ben Spies one? People don't have a clue. So i suggest a good slap in the face.
