With the last races coming up fast, who do you think (not necessarily want) will win it?

Well, I've wanted Vettel to win all year long. But his luck is nil this year. So I really can't see him making a comeback. I don't think Webber deserves the title, he had one amazing race in Nurburgring, but the rest of the year has been average in my books.

Really, Button has to win the WDC. But on a day, where Brawn had the pace to win, Button finished 7th. Just ahead of a BMW. Thats not the results he wants. Its now 4 races in a row where he's gone home with very few points. At this rate, he'll lose his lead by the end of the year. From the man who stunningly won the first 6 out of 7 races, he needs to find more pace than whats he's been showing.

i still think Jenson Button.
Is that JB?
(Why not use the names on the poll options instead of the initials??)

I would like Vettel... but dont feel he really deserves it. So far Jenson's been better, made fewer silly mistakes and should be able to keep his head straight to bring home the rest of the points to win it. Hopefully BrawnGP dont get too far behind on the development thing.....

There is still plenty of time for things to take another U-turn - all it takes is for Button to score no points and for either Red Bull driver to win - but Button is the favourite now. Both of Red Bull's drivers have needed to score heavily every single race for a while now and the job has only been half done. Also, McLaren could really mess things right up for Red Bull. Ferrari, too, have shown they can get podiums.

That's why I started the poll or else it would be easy :hehe:

I don't really care who is champion to be perfectly honest. I don't really have much of a loyalty to any of the four drivers.

I like Vettel because I think he has alot of promise and surely will be one for the future, and I like Mark Webber because he seems quite a top bloke - the kind you'd wanna share a good conversation with, over a drink. :hehe:

Then again, Jenson also seems a decent fellow, and Rubens... well Rubens Lambada's!

So really I don't care who is champion, I just want a showdown. I doubt we'll get that though.

I feel the similarly: how McLaren do in both championship tables is of much more concern to me. McLaren coming third in the constructors' title means infinitely more to me than who wins both the drivers' and constructors' titles.

That said, I do have a preference for the drivers' title. I think Webber's talent deserves the ultimate accolade, having busted his balls out in poor cars throughout his time in Formula One, having progressed his career with relatively little funding - and not having bitched about it or given up - and because he's on the wrong side of thirty. If Vettel doesn't win the title this season, it's no big deal, as he's almost certainly going to have more chances in the future. This could be Webber's last realistic chance for all we know.

Funny how people's memory is short: Oh, he bitched a lot alright!

Webber's complained a bit about his equipment, understandably. Where he annoys me is less to do with that, but his comments about on-track incidents. For instance, when Vettel rear-ended him in Japan a couple of years ago. I feel Webber has not given up like a lot of other drivers. Button, for instance, had been wallowing in self-pity for years before this season, and Kubica threw in the towel very early on this season.

Bo**ocks. Button wrang the neck of the RA107. It was only in 2008 depression got to him.

For me, it's Webber.

Firstly, he's an Australian, and opening so many peoples eyes to Formula 1 and teaching them to respect motorsport as a sport, not just a bunch of bogan revheads racing around a track.

Secondly, he's battled and battled in so many cars without any luck. Yeah he made comments about Vettel in Japan, but what kind of professional sportsman wouldnt in a emotional and frustrating situation like that. JB is also in a similar situation, proving persistance will eventually pay off. Both these guys woud make fitting champions and it would be like a breath of fresh air through F1 if (WHEN) it happens/ed.

As implied I was actually going for who you THINK will win, not who deserves it or who you want to win the title...
Based on facts and inference with regard to race tracks coming up and performance levels of car and driver.
