I find that the current times are more suitable for the 'not so diehard' racing fans but I aswell miss the old days and time slot's. I remember back in the '80's having to get up at 3:30-4am for the Japanese GP all hungover from the night before and making a huge breakfast, good times good times.

I missed getting up really early for the Australian, Malaysian and Chinese grands prix this year. I'll miss getting up at 4am for Suzuka. 6am just doesn't feel right to me.

i don't like 6:00 starts instead of 4:00 starts because when i was at uni, I was often still up at that time whereas 6:00 is no-man's land for me, too late to stay up, too early to get up

I miss those days as well. You can't beat getting up at 3am to watch Damon Hill become Champion. :)

Before then we used to just record the live races using our VCR's Videoplus feature and then watch it over breakfast.

And watching Mika take his titles in Suzuka. :cloud9:

And then Michael's first for Ferrari in 2000 :)

I'm the same. It's that special kind of feeling, when the rest of the house is still asleep, you're alone, and your watching these events thousands of miles away unfold.
