The way they got rid of me was very disappointing. Dietrich Mateschitz was at the Nurburgring but he did not speak with me. He did not call me. Everything was done by SMS, which to me has no style.

Personally, I agree with him. F1 is a high profile gig, one would expect more.

If true, that's very poor form by Toro Rosso. Bourdais did suck, though.

Four-time Champ Car titleholder Bourdais, however, admits some blame for his failure to shine in one and a half seasons at Toro Rosso, whose team until 2009 received the basic chassis designed by its parent Red Bull.

He said the car was not built around a driver, but rather it was the drivers' responsibility to adapt to the car.

"That was never my best strength," Bourdais said.

If it is true, and I don't see reason why Bourdais would feel they need to bluntly lie about STR. Its a downright pathetic.

Fair enough, Bourdais isn't a very adaptable driver, and that's why he would never have done well in F1. But regardless, the fact that a team would show a driver such a lack of respect is crazy.

Also, STR haven't exactly been quick to deny they did this.
