I have often wondered how much F1 actually influences choice of road cars.

I drive a BMW but support Brawn. I am French but support Button.

I bet it affects not one jot what car one buys for the road.

Probably it influences it quite a bit. I know for sure when Alonso and Hamilton were in Mclaren the sale of mercedes must have jumped way up. Also when Alonso was doing really well in renault renault sales were booming. Ferrari is such a popular sportscar despite it being far from the best probably thanks to F1. Definitely helps add prestige I think.

I support Renault so I bought Renault. Although lately I've been taking a liking to Honda.
