The FiA was mis-guided to tell FOTA they don't have entries for 2010. Now FOTA can, without any barriers, simply re-ignite the breakaway and give Max the finger right back.

cots?

I was feeling like a newb trying to figure out what cots was. Then I scrolled down, and see a mod with 6k posts that doesn't know either. n00b! Just kidding. At least I'm not alone.

Don't worry I feel out of my depth with internet speak every day :hehe:
I wish I could be a newb again... :hehe:

The FOTA walk out demonstrates that they are a bunch of children throwing their toys because they didn't get unilateral control of rules and regs. It's not about budget caps; it's about FOTA seizing control of the sport and the FIA aren't willing to let FOTA have control which I agree with. Co-operating is essential but teams shouldn't have unilateral control, the FIA and FOTA need to meet half way. All teams should have a say in the rules and regulations; FOTA were foolish think they could have total control without other teams having a say! As for Max wanting FOTA out; if he wanted that to happen he would have simply excluded them on the 29th and populated the grid with new teams!

Do you really believe that? You seriously think Max could populate the grid with new teams and still be anything other than a joke of a series? Do you know how many racing series have died out over the years, despite once having plenty of fans? Formula one is in DEEP financial trouble...in debt to their freakin eyeballs...and any income problems will see Formula One in serious trouble. The number of fans swearing they will follow the breakaway series alone is enough to strike terror into the hearts of the F1 financial advisers.

Populate the grid with new teams eh? Yeah, that would be entertaining......two or three cars finishing each race and doing so at 8 seconds a lap more than this year. So much for "Pinnacle of Motor Racing"

You didn't read my post properly did you? I said that IF max wanted FOTA out, he would have done it on the May 29th deadline and populated the grid with new teams in response to phiend saying that Max is trying to get rid of FOTA a second time after failing to do it the first time around!

Is there enough time to:
A. impeach Mosley, can it even be done?
B. Pick up on break away project and planning for 2010
C. Salvage an F1 2010 Championship

It would be interesting to know if FOTA has continued the exploritory process of a different series. Groups and venues have gotten their hopes up and insisted that they would host a different series, but I'm sure were disappointed when an agreement (or what was thought as an agreement) was made on June 24.

FOTA has two choices. Split now and move expeditiously for a new series and don't look back. Or they go along with the FIA mandate for 2010 and race. I should say I am quite disappointed in the faith (blind faith) FOTA had after the June 24 meeting in the FIA following through on what they said they would do. Hopefully I am mistaken and they have worked out contingencies.

I think the Children are on the other side of the fence you talk of, FOTA were under the impression (as was the rest of the world maybe apart from you :hehe: ) that they were entered into the 2010 championship then they get told they are not and want a postponement of this meeting so they can get clarification on this big claim! to only get told no.

I think walking out on a bunch of corrupt old f***s is far from childish, its rather mature if you ask me!
