Well people this race is the race I've been looking forward too all year. LMP1 is pretty loaded with 3 Audi R15's, 4 peugeot 908's, 4 Lola-Aston Martin's, and 2 Audi R10's. As much as I love Audi, I dont want them to win (even though they're the heavy favorites). I'll be cheering on Aston Martin, but I think (I hope I'm wrong) that they'll just get blown by the diesels like at Sebring this year with the Acura's.

lol, Audi just do it better. Peugoet will probably have the race in the bag then blow it at night. Typical.

I totally agree man, both of them are great drivers. I think Montagny would be good too if he had a decent car.

I was hoping they would go to Le Mans, but I dont think they'd want to go unless they got some huge hp upgrade. Plus with all that downforce that car produces, do you think it'd be a disadvantage at a track like Le Mans?


But the Acura sounds nice, it has really smooth upshifts and sounded amazing at Long Beach.

Yeah, i know they were pissed off at how much of an advantage the TD cars have, as for downforce/drag, it's still a pretty quick track even with the chicanes... ah well, maybe they'll enter in 2010/11/whenever these new LMP rules come in. If that Acura sounds as good as it looks then it'll sound pretty good right?! Also, the diesels should be banned simply on the grounds that they don't make an awesome racket like the rest of em!

I dont mind the diesels tbh, and thats exactly why I love sporst car racing so much, is because of the diversity of the cars and sounds. Now if half the field were diesels, than that would be a problem and quite annoying.

But yeah the Acura has nice sounding upshifts, it backfires a little on the downshifts, which isnt bad, but the best sounding engines imo are the ones that you can hear the upshifts and downshifts clearly. I cant wait to see it again later this year at laguna, and for the race because its rumored that Audi are going to run the last 2 races of the ALMS season and Laguna is the last so my fingers are crossed.

What happened the Dome car It was going so well last year, I was hoping to see those guys back doing even better this year. bah, lame.

Anyway, I do worry the new Audi this year may too much of a step forward. But all the same, com'n Pug.

Looks like the LMP1's should have some really good racing this year. There looks to be a lot of competitive cars out there, and some really interesting drivers. Should be a competitive enough year. Just hopefully its as good as last year. Nothing worse than waiting all year to watch a 24 hour procession. Personally I'd love to watch every second on eurosport, but I know thats not happening. I doubt anyone else in this house wants to watch LeMans. But thats what live streams are for

Anyone know of a free live timing for this year. I remember there was one last year that updated every 5 minutes and was next to useless.

Yeah what did happen to Dome?? i thought it was such a good looking car too!
