Recently I posted a new point system and I agree with the comments that where sent.
With the points I posted, the drivers probably will be too conservative and it would be boring to watch.
I don't really like this years points because they are not laid out properly.
Maybe this system will be better.
1st_place will recieve 20 points
2nd_______________15 points
3rd________________10 points
4th________________8 points
5th________________6 points
6th________________5 points
7th________________4 points
8th________________3 points
9th________________2 points
10th_______________1 point

These points would be good for the next season if 13 teams are going to be on F1 circuit.
I hope good teams will be there for next year.

You know, i've realised recently that for me, constantly effing about with the points system isn't necessary. Sure, maybe every once in a while to freshen things up, but it seems the powers that be want to make knee-jerk reactions all the time, unable to accept the simple fact that some F1 seasons will be epic and some boring... imo the current system is fine. Not perfect, because no system ever will be...

Leave the points system alone! Not broken, don't fix. Vettel has half a chance to catch Button now. With these purposed systems, Button would've have won the title hands last weekend. They ruin the nail bitting finales we've had for the last 2 years. 10-8-6 Good points system.

Button wouldn't have won the title with as there ar still plenty of races for things to change. And if the points system was changed then you would then have to adapt everybody elses points and then count how many points would still be available.
