After reading a bit on how grandstands are sparse and empty at both Turkey and Bahrain this year.

I got thinking, if F1 really cares about how many people attend the races, why not have two in Britan, at both Dohnighton and Silverstone. In my opinion that would solve a lot of problems. The british GP is an iconic thing. The first ever championship race was held at Silverstone and how many teams are based in Britan.

F1 hype is massive in Britain right now, with both Jenson and Lewis making constant headlines. I mean, Spain have two races, both of which are, lets be honest rubbish. Silverstone provides great racing every year and great attendance and atmosphere, and it's a track that's position on the calendar should never have been doubted, nevermind removed. Whilst Dohnighton, they've started work on the track, so we might as well go there and even if the place falls through, we'll still have a british GP at Silverstone.

i fail to see why valencia made it TBH, was a pi$$ poor race there last year i thought, as for britain do we have 2 venues capable of holding an F1?

I think the real cause of poor attendances comes down to pricing. Because of Bernie's extortionate fees to host a F1 race; prices have to be high to recoup their investment. So until Bernie lowers his prices; grandstands will half empty, we are already seeing GPs disappear because of falling attendances and the cost of hosting such an event!

IN the 90s the Euro GP was at donington so yes Britain already has had 2 GPs. So has Germany and so has Japan. So has USA. Howabout Canada getting 2? LOL

The Vancouver Island GP

Well it's not possible. Simply the ticket prices would be too much. Unlike in Spain, the UK govt won't chip in.
Besides imo no country should have more than one GP. That way the likes of the British GP wouldn't be so underthreat.

I don't think a country should have more than one Grand Prix. The situations we've had and still do have are farcical and motivated by money. There are plenty of countries around the world with Formula One fans who would love to have a Grand Prix. If Ecclestone was more concerned about the sport's fans rather than his bottom line, the calendar could easily be filled.

How about Australia? Bring back the Adelaide street circuit.

I thought Spain had 2 because the ticket sales where on a high with Alonso being champ when the deal was signed. Much as Germany/Austria GP's when Schuey was at his heights

Yeh that's pretty much it, you can't have two races unless there is sufficient support to sell out both. The USA having two back in the day kinda made sense too because Watkin's Glen was a bit of a way to go if you lived on the West Coast. Spain should certainly loose one of its races as they are both massively dull. I think i'd rather keep Valencia purely because i love the pit buildings
