Budget capping could ruin the sport...
Here's my two cents worth:
What would you rather have? A grid without the ferrari's, Mclarens, BMW's, Renaults etc but with a whole bunch no namers like USF1, and Campos racing, etc filling up the grid right to the back, or
A grid WITH the big names but a few less teams and back markers? I don't buy into the fact that F1 was destroying itself. So we lost Honda and potentially could have lost 1 or 2 more. Times are tough. The weak will faulter. People would probably still watch if it was only BMW, Mclaren and Ferrari slugging it out. I would. If these teams broke away and formed their own uncapped series in compitition to these newbees, I know which racing I would watch.
The balance would be restored again. It always has. Formula 1 has it's own little ecosystem going.
Things would be far better if the eff eye aye would just eff off!
