& not just any F1 car but a Benetton B194. Complete with traction control no less.

Which is interesting as TC was banned that year.

says without (w/o) traction control there.

that car helped a cheat win as far as i'm concerned.

Cool. I've seen a couple of Formula One cars for sale in the past year. Somebody was flogging a Ferrari 412T2 a while ago. That car is absolutely gorgeous, and the noise of its V10: :ahahah: .

Actualy says "The car is equipped exactly like it was "in the day" with paddle-shift, shift w/o lift and traction control. " Which I read as shift without lift (ie gear change without letting of on the accelerator, cluth-slamming if you will) + traction control.

Naughty - but not news. Benetton admited that it the option was there.

Then the "and" should be an "or"

An "or, an extra "not", or comma (though there is no grammatical rule on this) would have been helpful. As there's not, I'm assuming it means there is not lift control and not traction control.

I think everybody else will read it the way it was meant & see that it means it's there. Hell Benetton even admitted that it was there at the time.

Why would the person who wrote the advertisement list all of the things the car does have, then what it hasn't got, and then name one thing it does have?

'cos he's not that good at writing adverts/English?

I'll admit to not knowing what a carbon rotor is if it makes you any happier.

It's more to do with logic.

Ok, let's read it logically, as I don't believe a man with a car worth half a million can't write his ads properly.

"The car is equipped exactly like it was "in the day" with paddle-shift, shift w/o lift and traction control"

So, it's got:-

Paddle-shift.
Shift without lift.
Traction control.

As Benetton said it had in the case of the latter.

Unless you can tell me what the difference is between paddle shift & shift + what lift is.

with paddle-shift, shift w/o lift and traction control

the way it is written and logic tell me it means with paddle-shift, with shift w/o lift and with traction control.
The only way traction control is not included would be if it's linked to shift, i.e., shift w/o traction control - which doesn't make sense technically.
