It has to be said though - we are now aware that throughout his time at Ferrari special rules were in place.

Which rather takes the shine off his achievements don't you think?

In short, you have been had & rather than rub it in I'd like to extend the hand of friendship here & say that whatever harm he caused us, his non-fans, is nothing compared to the damage that has been done to his trusting, loyal fans & you have our sincere sympathies at this most difficult of times but as we are all F1 fans we'd like to stick together here.

What do you say?

It's your round, BTW.

Team orders or not Michael Schumacher was a superb F1 driver. The only time the team orders at Ferrari really bothered me was at the 2002 Austrian GP.

Rubens has moaned about being able to win championships at Ferrari but team orders stopped him. Well Rubens is in the best car again at BrawnGP this year, Button has 4 wins he has none.

It speaks for itself really.

i guess its true that with a person like MS being the top of F1, a lot of people will try to find things that might devalue his success...
but noting is deniable, team orders or not, he strung 2 championships in 1994-95 and 5 championships 2000-04... to be able to be the champion for 5 consecutive years is an achievement by itself. i wonder if one can strung that many championships together even with the "help" from FIA...

i have to also agree that RB has the car this year to prove himself. but it is still early to say, maybe he will be on top of his game soon enough.
Monaco, here we come

don't really lower schui's titles much since he did dominate some seasons.

it ceratinly isn't right that Ferrari have special privlages considering its a sport.

Kinda like Liverpool FC being able to sign any player at any time during the year but other teams only being able to sign during transfer windows.

The fact that Ferrari could read the rules look at any ones that didn't suit and just get rid of them, and also had increased budget is abit of a joke really.

Then how did they get it so wrong with the tyre rules in 2005? And i had always believed the Qualifying rules being changed to that one lap system was to try give other teams a chance to win during the Ferrari dominance, which effectively it did.

Tell me about this budget cap? I thought the only budget cap in F1 up to now was common sense for when you have spent enough.

In 05 that was bridgestone being not as good as Mitchallin really.

But its not a budgetcap in regards to Ferrari its just that Ferrari get more TV money etc.. than any other team.

its not fair.

I am not a fan of Michael Schumacher by any means. Never liked his style of driving.

With that said, I'm even less of a fan of drama queens looking for an argument when none exists. So yes, Ferrari had veto privileges given to them. I suppose that was a payoff for them not going off and forming their own series or for some amount of money they put into forming F1 or some such thing. I very much doubt it was handed to them for free. Still, rather than get all dramatic, lets hear some instances where this veto right was abused. Those few of you who are all up in arms over this, which just so happen to be those who hated ferrari in the first place...lets hear the examples, with references for backup please, of when and how Ferrari used their veto power to win themselves championships.

This should be entertaining, and I suspect there is going to be a lot of innuendo and 'but it's obvious' though none of it will be backed up with any sort of proof. Personally, I call the 5 years of Ferrari domination the dark ages of Formula one and I would love to believe they were cheating the entire time...but I very much doubt the teams who were spending bankloads of money on the sport were hoodwinked quite that easily...and if they were cheated...where are the lawsuits?

Go look up Ferrari's influence in the banning of the Michelin tyre in 03 as a good place to start Bill.
