Ya me too, the live feed was dead though, why I thought Germany were in the same time zone as us I don't know!?

The race starts at 2 local time at Hockemheim tomorrow. Which is 1 here.

It would be nice if the official F1 site did the same. I cannot watch BBC's live stream online since I am not in the UK.

They could go alot further with these live feeds aswell. I don't know how interactive BBC's is but building in the features for controls to allow the user to move in and out of different cameras on the circuit and onboard the car would be easy to implement.

You could allow for user profiles aswell so you can register and customize your own set up, preferred cameras, preferred driver, etc.

Watching your favourite driver's onboard camera in one portion of the screen, with the lap times on another and then predominately the standard director screen for the rest would be ace and easy to implement!

With that system in place for F1, it could be used for all motorsport coverages online.
