Well after watching the dull race today getting rid of Barcelona might not be such a bad thing. Just use it as the winter test circuit.

I really hope Bernie retires soon. No wonder Gilles Villeneuve never got on with him.

It's obvious (to anyone with a brain) that there is an ingrain racism in the F1 communtiy, and thats pretty ignorant. But the most ignorant part of this incident is that this paticular Spaniard believes he is white, so he blacks out his face. A true W.A.S.P. whould think as little of him as he does Hamilton.

Some Peoples Kids

For me, it depends on whether the racist bigot got into the circuit with his face painted. I would also like to know if the racist bigot was arrested, or at least ejected from the circuit. If the racist bigot was allowed into the circuit with his face blackened and if action was not taken against him in the circuit, then it's pretty clear not enough action is being taken to clamp down on this kind of thing and punishment should be meted out.

do the spanish have a white supremacist problem?

They have given our black players abuse in a few football matches before now...

never knew that its really rather sad.

Though that idiot may have possibly been one of a minority as he was the only one we saw on telly, I thought in this day and age people would be more grown up :( I got accused of racism (by some random idiots) because last season I was supporting Massa and not Hamiltion.

No country is squeaky clean when it comes to racism, but that doesn't mean to say we can't state the facts clearly: Spain, too, has a problem with racism, and it's one of the countries most blighted by it. The problem seems to have got worse in the last few years as well, as Spain has taken in a large number of foreigners from the EU etc. The Spanish government need a crack down on it, and the Circuit de Catalunya needs to deal with racist bigots much more effectively.
