I know Hamilton was third, then disqualified. I'm watching the press conference in Malaysia and Hamilton claims he isn't a lier.

Can somebody please give me a detailed explanation, I have no idea what is going on, I'm lost!

1 - In Melbourne Trulli got off the track while the safety car was on the track
2 - At this moment Hamilton overpassed Trulli - no problems to hamilton, because trulli was off track, so it was his fault.
3 - Mclaren - knowing that there wasn't problem to hamilton stay ahead Trulli - ordered Hamilton to let Trulli overtakes him.
4 - The team knew that Trulli would get a penalty for overtaking while the safety car was in the circuit.
5 - When the stewards were looking for the truth, Hamilton lied about what happened
6 - So the truth was discovered trough the team radio conversation.
7 - Then started the judgment on Hamilton and what should be done to him.
8 - So Hamilton assumed his lies and said that he was asked to lie by his team.

something around that...

Not quite true

3 - David Ryan told LH to give back the position not knowing if Lewis had illegally taken the place
4 - I don't think the team realised Trulli would get a penalty at the time and it was definitely not their intention to make Trulli pass so he would get penalised.

Thats the thing the team didn't need to LIE!!! It was a stupid thing to do.
Hahaha :rofl::rofl: still two different accounts from what happened even with new evidence and LH admiting he lied.

I never said that they didn't lie did I?

I don't think so...If I'm not wrong...it was Mclaren who asked the stewards to investigate Trulli's overtaking...If they had asked for that, how could they didn't know about the illegal move it was ?

You never did mate. But some people will always sugarcoat the event no matter what the evidence points to. I read some many versions of what happened during the safety car period, LH was distracted, the team didn't have the info, it doesn't matter if the team did or didn't have all the info, what matters and what this thing boiled down to, is you don't lie during a hearing. Now that he admited to lying, its being sugarcoated again, he's a scapegoat, the race director is a scapegoat, at the end of the day, a duck is a duck, you can't dress it to make it look like a eagle, its still a duck.

Yup. It's so annoying and stupid, yet hilarious at the same time. :hehe:

Hmm I may be wrong but I don't think they asked for an investigation, but if you remember the team had asked about the situation wanting to know if Hamilton should keep place or let Trulli pass I think this made race control aware of the situation and I guess race control would have told the stewards.
