Ok, now I've seen the cars in action I can honestly say that I've never seen such ugly racing cars. The front is too wide & the back is too narrow, they are out of proportion. Niki Lauda was right when he said they look looked like lawn mowers.

Even the attempt to remove the sillyness of vanes all over tha car has failed - see some teams mirror supports.

The question is, which is the ugliest of them all?

Right now my vote goes to the Brawn GP car, mainly as a result of the paint scheme although the matching driver's helmets don't help & nor does the way that Dickie B appears to have brought the Virgin stickers with him in the plane & stuck them on himself.

Next up, it's a tie between the teams with mirrors on stalks & those with silly anvil-shaped engine covers that have more to do with advertising than they do with performance.

Which 1s do you find the most offensive?

(I'm hoping that this is not just an excuse to slag off McLaren just 'cos that's a knee-jerk reaction from Fezza fans & vice-versa - thanks).

None of them. I think they're all beautiful cars. Especially the Williams. I could not go back to cars from 2008, 2007 etc.

I don't mind them at all. I quite like how the all look unique and how they look so much cleaner. I'm getting quickly used to it all.
I still hate the tyres. I just can't make out which are soft tyres and which aren't. The green stripe is barely visible at times. They were white stripes for a reason.

I'm getting used to it now - except for the Renault which looks more like a submarine than a car!

I agree about the tyre colours - can't tell at all - the green stripe needs to be much thicker.

Also nearly impossible to tell Rubens and Jenson apart.

I'm ok with most of it but I don't like the front wings, I kept thinking of scorpions for some reason when seeing the long shots looking up the pit straight.

Not really that keen on the look of the new cars. I find the front end to be really ugly and the whole car looks like we stepped back in time.

I thought I'd hate them but I don't really mind them, The williams is beautiful, reminds me of the 1996 Williams, The Brawn's interesting, were as all the other cars shape has been forced to radically change, High noses and so forth, the Brawn looks much like last years cars but without all the bits, I really think they've found something everybody else hasn't, whether they can keep it up against the might of Ferrari and McLaren development I don't Know.

Just heard Toyota have been excluded for flexible wings, they definitely found something the others didn't.

The proportions are a bit weird, some cars look stranger than others, but I wouldn't say ugly, I would say interesting. F1 cars have appeared that way to me for as long as I've been watching, Interesting shapes.
There's no limmit to how bizzare a car should look providing it makes for fast and exciting racing. It's certianly fast, Tomorrow we will see if it's exciting.
If i wanted to watch sexy or classy looking cars, i wouldn't watch F1.

The cars aren't as bad as I thought they would have been. A lot depends on which car as well. McLaren and Williams have done a good job with the car's aesthetics and actually look really good. The plough on the front of the BMW, on the other hand, looks pretty awful.

Yeah, those cars look so ugly in comparison and they already feel very dated.

I like them. I have a soft spot for the Williams, Brawn, Renault and Mclaren this season.

Suprised the BMW car hasn't be mentioned yet what is with the crazy big front nose?? yeah they have never made pretty cars. from the onboard camera view on the mclaren the nose looked quite ugly indeed but that could be the same on all the other cars, The Brawn needs a paint job others wise nice.Red bell looks the best of the pack suprise surpise good old newey.
