If I wanted to write a film to a DVD, would I not be able to do it with my current DVD RW?
Would I have to buy a DVD Recorder or Writer?
I have just heard a couple of people talking about writing film and a DVD Writer was mention, so was wandering.

Thanks for the help.

I ment youtube's hidef function it makes the video's in better quailty so if he downloaded that it might be abit better.

its not really hidef i know more just better quailty, so it would look nicer when played over a dvd on a tv.

I'm pretty sure they are, probably a different file format and higher resolution, just they won't play on normal dvd players and they won't be able to store the same length of video as a normal dvd file.

Oh No!'m really not wanting to get into another of these discussions BUT...

the data on a blu ray disc is just that, data. the data on a dvd disc is just that, data. data is stored on these discs as 1's and 0's.

a blu ray disc and HD disc can just store more 1's and 0's than a conventional dvd disc. a conventional dvd can store HD video data, just not a full movies worth.
