just a quick question for those members who live there; what channels cover F1 in the US? I'm going to be in Florida when the Malaysian GP is on, being in the middle of the night there (4am I believe) doesn't bother me, but finding a channel to watch it on does!:) Will whatever channel it's on be on a free channel or is it on one you would usually have to pay for? I'm wanting to check in advance if the villa I'm staying in is likely to have the channel or not...

It will be on Speed TV. That is a paid channel here in the US. If the Villa has cable or satellite TV and a sports package, they will have it most likely.

:) Thanks very much! I'll check and see if I can get that channel there, if not I don't know what I'll do! :(

I travel a lot in the US and sadly most hotels don't carry Speed Channel. Best bet for ya is to find a sports bar or somtin'

 Enjoyable as that would be, I'm not too sure my fiance would be too happy about it... :D

Hopefully I'll manage to sort something out, the last race I missed was nearly 20 years ago! I don't want to break the run! :)

Where at in FL. I'm sure someone on the board can recommend a venue for you. If you can find a place called th Londonner, which I've seen in a few citys accross the states, then you are golden. They show nothing but soccer, rugby and F1

I'm staying in Kissimmee. Never been before so I don't know the area at all really other than the usual tourist places and things I've read about online...

I checked into it for ya and the race starts at 5am so without setting the timer on your recorder at home you may have difficulty finding somewhere to watch it live. Oh I have one other idea so let me check into it for you ok but first what hotel are you staying at?

Speed has excellent commentators and they cover practice, qualifying, and the race. So you dont have to worry about crappy coverage, but you have to stomach commercials though.

I'm not staying in a hotel, it's a villa in Hidden Springs Circle... I'm going to find out today if it has the channel or not. If not then hopefully there will be somewhere relatively close that shows delayed coverage from Speed TV...
