Ok so I hope this is the right subject as it kind-of is an F1 matter. If not however feel free to move it (mods).

The question is . . . who to support this year?! As a Honda man I'm left with a rather bitter after-taste from them quitting like a bunch of . . . well . . . quitters! So now who replace them with?! Please don't say the red cars though, I just can't bring myself to do it! :hehe:

I know how you feel mate, I had a bit of a soft spot for Honda. I think it was cos I was always willing them to be better than they ever where.

I think Red bull or STR for me next year. cos I like the underdogs done good feeling

I would feel the same way if Williams ever left F1, I could never really see myself as a McLaren fan, BMW fan - despite the fact BMW is my favourite car manufacturer - or a Force India (it's just not the Jordan team) fan.

I do have a slight leaning towards Red Bull. They sponsor a LOT of sports I'm in to (If you have time google or youtube "Red Bull Rampage"!). Also I was well impressed with Vettel last year, the boy is going to be a legend, you mark my words! However ideally I would like some sort of British connection going on . . . call me old fashioned! :hehe:

Technically, yes, but I really don't like this way of thinking about McLaren. The team was founded by a Kiwi and had many Kiwis working for the team, and there was also some American involvement from people like the late Teddy Mayer. American influence increased when Marlboro sponsored the team from 1974, and they, of course, were responsible for Project 4's merger with McLaren in 1980, which was the first time there was serious British influence in the team. After the merger, the team became known as McLaren International, which summed up the team pretty well. A year later, Ron Dennis brought TAG into the team. In 1995 Mercedes-Benz purchased shares in the team. And in 2007 the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company bought shares in the McLaren Group. So, McLaren are the most culturally diverse team in Formula One and does not really embody British (or English values, as Dennis continuously says) that some people say.

You could say that Renault is British because it is based in the UK

I dont agree. Thats like saying Nike is Chinese because the shoes are made in China or wherever the heck they're made.

In all seriousness there would be four team's I would choose from for various reasons and they are Williams, BMW, STR and RedBull.
