's all going to go horribly wrong, you mark my words.

We've got silly new front wings waiting to be beaten off on the rear tyre of the guy in front who hasn't thought to leave the extra space these abominations require over last year's + anybody thinking they can avoid the accident by using the curb is going to find that the front wing gets removed as a result.

Then we've got everybody trying to remember to re-set their front wings to maximum downforce for the corner after having used the minimum setting for the start 'cos the cars will go better of the line like that - to say nothing of them adjusting them when the guy behind isn't expecting it.

Finally there is KERS which everybody will have pressed as part of the start procedure & will still have their fingers on the button thereof by the 1st corner & will forget to release what with trying to remember how much space the front wing needs, adjust it at the same time and avoid the accident just ahead.

We'll be lucky if more than 4 cars make it to the finish I reckon.

If I remember correctly, this time last year we had the following:

"Everybody's going to be spinning off due to no traction control because they won't think not to apply less throttle and take more care!"

And to be honest, very few people actually spun their cars. They're supposed to be the best drivers in the world, if they can't cope, they can always go and join Juan Pablo

Nah, there'll only be problems for those who qualify near Piquet and Fisichella!! :hehe: (and Bourdais to a lesser extent)

Ten points for me. Winding you up about Juan Pablo is ace :D

Seriously, though, he should've stuck to Formula One and put a little more effort in to it. He could've made something of the MP4-22 and MP4-23 if he'd driven them.

Are they allowed to have their KERS charged for the start?

KERS can't be charged whilst the car is stationary during a race pit stop. However, as far as I'm aware, the regulations don't actually mention anything about in the garage. And even if that's not permissable, the amount of braking that goes on during the parade lap should give them a good amount of charge anyway.

Weyhey, it's going to be a good one ! Regarding the front wing issue mentioned and should it turn out to be the case, from what I've seen of the cars thus far, it could be a real problem for BMW.

Yes he should have stuck with F! that would have ade things much more interesting!! And we'd have had one more decent driver. Yes he would have gone well in the MP4-22 and 23, theyd have suited him just right! Shame!!

Is there any rule or regulation as to how many front wings/nose cones can be replaced during a single race? There may be a lot of carbon fiber on the track!

Unless the smash is big enough to warrant an SC of course... that is if they are keeping the 'lapped cars may pass the safety car' rule.

Good point about the safety car. Are they keeping the old rules, or have they changed them yet.
Seriously, the old safety car rules were pure awful. They messed up Singapore badly, and in Germany, they gave arguably the worst driver a 2nd place. Glock drove incredibly in Hungary to get 2nd. Whilst Piquet gets a complete fluke. Wheres the justice.

They should revert to the previous rules, and enfoce a rule whilst the safety car is out, that says if a driver is driving to fast, they are disqualified, so that drivers don't push and we don't see that thing with Alonso happen again.
