Im going to be going to the 2009 Monaco GP but have never been before and was looking for some advice on the best way to go about this trip. Good hotels to stay at and just things to know in general. Any info or advice would be more than appreciated. Also this is my first visit, I looked for a proper place but did not see one. So if I posted this in the wrong discussion board i apologize and if an admin could relocate it. Thank you!

I can't be that specific cos i don't really no, but my mum and dad went to the Monaco GP for their 25th Wedding Anniversary.
They flew into and stayed in Nice (obviously MASSIVELY cheaper than staying in Monaco) i think the hotel was called the Hotel Busby. There is a train which goes from Nice into Monaco regularly, and so this is what they did.
I think you have to have a grand stand ticket there now...or the general admission is rubbish...i've heard something which goes a long the lines of the tickets being different and that being bad...
You'll probably find it a lot cheaper tailoring it all yourself too as apose to getting it through a company, hope that's some help.

As above, my parents also went about 6 years ago. And they also stayed in Nice. I will ask dad about ticket details, but they knew someone who lived in Nice who was their "guide" to what tickets to buy and stuff.

My buddy goes on tour with the F1 package and he said Monaco was the worst venue as an F1 fan. He said at other circuits you can walk around the track and take in the experience of the whole event, at Monaco you are closed off to everything because its a street circuit. You will be sitting in your assigned seat and that's pretty much it, there's no moving around and there's no really good spot to actually watch the race unless you are willing to pay $$$ for one of those hotel bacony. He said unless your name starts with a "sir" and you have a yacht of the harbor (and this is coming from a guy that has tow Ferraris and a Porsche), everything is ultra expensive in Monaco. He recommended Monza, US GP (sure missed that track), Singapore (party atmosphere) Fuji, Shanghai, and Montreal. The two bottom tracks are Monaco and Brazil (unless you like getting robbed, murdered, taken hostage).
