If you've clicked on this thread with the wishful thought that some evidence has been unveiled that shows Toyota to be cheats then you should get a grip and accept that McLaren and Lewis Hamilton hold the WDC title. Timo Glock is a true sportsman, a great GP2 champion, and just as his team mate Jarno Trulli said before todays race, he has rivals but not enemies. He races for himself and his team, they have no hand in the Ferrari and McLaren affairs. I find any insinuation that Toyota deliberately interfered, without sufficient evidence, to be disgusting.

Glock took a gamble at the end of the race, he decided not to take the time to change tyres. This is what put him ahead of Hamilton, and demoted Hamilton down to 6th place once Vettle had passed him. But the gamble didn't quite pay off. It very almost did pay off in a big way, but as the rain continued to pour down the track went past a critical threshold and all grip for the slick tyres fell away leaving him "skating on ice".

If it had paid off, then we would be hearing the huge praises from Ferrari and Massa fans singing about how brilliant Glock is, as well as how brilliant Vettle is. But it's not to be. Unlucky Massa, you were within touching distance, but not this year.

An excellent post. As I've said before, rather than giving Glock abuse, he should be praised for keeping the car on the track, for during the last lap small rivers were flowing over the track's surface. Furthermore, I find it's disgusting and a tad ironical that Ferrari and Massa supporters are complaining about conspiracy theories.

I agree with the above posts.

If the race was one lap shorter he would have got 2 extra points for his team.

And if the race was 20 minutes later, wit the amount of rain that fell, Honda could have had a one-two because they changed to extreme wet tyres.

Yep, Glock did something that the previous "reigning World Champion" couldn't in similar conditions at Spa.

But Trulli should have been penalised for almost punting Bourdais off.

I totally agree. That little stunt of his was inexcusable - certainly not from the sport's most paranoid, safety geek.

Yep, he's fully deserved inheriting that title now Coulthard has retired. :P

Of course Toyota never gifted Lewis said title. Why would they, they want more points :hehe:
Glock simply couldn't get drive at all. But I think what was said today was right. The championship was in the hands of the gods =P. Still, Massa may not be champion, but you can't deny it was a brilliant end to the season. The best ever for definite.
Its just not right to bring stupid politics into this.

You ALL know what happened and there is no CONPIRACY on the race. People, who think that there is a conspiracy is because, they can't accept that LH snatched back the position. It was one of the most thrilling race. For Massa, he did a GREAT job and to the team. For me, it's one clean race and LH deserves the tittle. hep hep hoooray!

I'm not finding posts where Ferrari fans are claiming that Toyota and McLaren conspired to give Lewis the championship. I'm only finding threads like this one.

It seems to me that this is a non-existent argument, and question the motives of people who are creating and posting in these threads. Perhaps some people feel shown up by the dignified way that most Ferrari fans have taken the result of the drivers' championship, and feel the need to pretend that conspiracy theories are being propounded where, largely, they are not.
