An interesting question, for they can't exactly punish Massa for Raikkonen's actions.

Could they punish Ferrari then? Prahaps deduct them points in the constructors championship. At the end of the day they are the ones sending out these drivers who should participate in the sport fairly. Therefore, it is Ferrari who are responsible for their drivers actions and it is them who should face the reprocations of their drivers actions if necessary.

What about next season? Could Kimi get a massive penalty in relation to next seasons WDC? I would personally DSQ him from the WDC if avoidable contact is made with Hamilton or Massa.

The same applies to Alonso and Kov.

Whichever punishments KR or LH might deserve I guess. I dunno, it's possible - just like every race but I don't think KR would intentionally tangle with LH to ensure Massa wins the title, if that's the underlying meaning here?.

Let's say the worst does happen and KR deliberately, and without subtlety, rams LH off the track and then does a little jig in celebration - I dunno. Very hard time proving he was ordered to by the team and even if it were proven I don't think it could be applied to Massa in any way so Massa would be the WDC should he finish the race with enough points. Any punishment that is meted out probably wouldn't do LH much good in terms of this year's WDC. Unless drastic and unprecedented sanctions are levelled at Ferrari.

Perhaps the FIA should threaten Ferrari with sanctions and send inspectors to Ferrari's garage in Brazil to ensure there is no wrong-doing. It's not like they haven't done this on other teams before.

If it looks deliberate, then Kimi will probably be punished. I don't think Massa will be punished in any way.

The FIA will be egging Raikkonen on to do it.

They may dq whoever from this year's championship as a token gesture like in 1997... however i can't see it happening really, Raikkonen isn't that type of driver imo. If Massa was leading the championship however, i wouldn't put it past him to take Hamilton out and win the title that way. Thankfully he isn't though. 8-)

I guess it depends on whether or not they could come up with some ridiculous explanation. For example, if Raikkonen (Massa) is clearly in the wrong whilst Hamilton (Bourdais) can do nothing further to avoid an incident short of "rolling out the red carpet".

I support Hamilton but in some ways I would love Alonso to come up his backside for the aftermaft. I am sure all of you will dislike me saying that but it will be one of the all time great moments.

Aye, I don't think he is either. JPM might have a couple of colourful things to say about KR though. :D I miss that fat crazy guy.

Well, yea. That's the only way they know how.

Ferrari have nothing to lose. The FIA have seen to it that the constructors' title is safe.

You McLaren fans are so biased and bitter you might aswell create a McLaren forum. Can I ask which incidents the FIA have cheated on (let me guess, spa ). I haven't seen them cheat once this season to be honest. They used Hamilton as a dummy to tell others 'you cant cut corners and immediately attack' and it has worked perfectly. I still blame that incident for why Kimi crashed personally. I was cheering hamilton on at the time but after what he did I thought 'hang on a minute, thats cheeky'.

Point was, that rule was not in the rulebook before the incident (and, to be honest, still isn't - nowhere does it say that you have to give a position back, it just says that you shall not gain any advantage, therefore there are a lot of people who should, according to the actual written rules, have been penalised this season for such).
