I think that article analyses the matters pretty well. Here's a map of the circuit's layout:

It looks like it would be fun to drive, but - and I don't know if it was whether or not the video made it look like this - it reminded me a little bit of the old Pacific Grand Prix at Aida. If it is a little similar, the racing would be pretty close (no field spread) and there's a couple of corners where overtaking is possible and several corners that are off camber and blind or on the crest of a hill at which drivers are bound to make errors.

Hmm, that looks quite nice and interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing a track like that feature on the calendar because it looks better than places like Shanghai, for example. Having done some v-mileage on rFactor of Estoril, I wouldn't mind seeing that track on the calendar, though whether or not that would actually be suitable for modern Formula 1 cars is something I don't have the answer to.

I miss the old Estoril, the track's still there but it doesn't look as fun as it used to be with the first 2 corners being killed and that annoying tight double chicane before the Parabolica.

Denthul, what's your best time around Estoril on rFactor? ;)

I've never actually completed a full lap at race speed, believe it or not! :P

The final section is very reminiscent of Barcelona.... :P
