Out of the Tilke tracks this one has to be the worst. Sure last year and 2006's races were good thanks to the rain but this one feels very dull, generic, uninspiring, Tilke-esque and very un-Chinese. Also now I've tried it out on RFactor it is horrible to drive on and feels about as thrilling as Alan Shearer having a conversation with Kimi.

Having played it on simulators myself, it's ghastly. It doesn't even feel like a circuit. It's so disjointed. What a horrible mess! Another track I detest is Bahrain.

Even if you drive a car from one of the classic F1 mods currently available for RFactor they look and feel so badly out of place at China. Bahrain's not as bad, but still feels quite artificial and has stupid parts where you have to brake whilst turning which is one of the fundamental no-no's in any form of Motorsport. The final sector with the run down to the start/finish straight is quite fun though.

I'm just waiting for the track to fall apart - it was built on a reclaimed swamp i believe. :hehe:

Tilke will probably do his best Michael Palin impersonation from the "swamp castle" scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail and say "The track sank into the swamp, so I built a second one, that sank into the swamp, the third one burnt down fell over then sank into the swamp but the 4th one STAYED UP!!". Vettel will be laughing on the floor because he loves Monty Python.

Agreed. Not wanting to think about China until Singapore is over. Plus there is a two break after Singapore before China. Want to take a week break from F1 in between to clear my head a bit. (Yeah right I can try as remember that list of F1 websites I posted on a different thread not long ago. I am attracted to then all like a magnant. :hehe: ) But if I manage to keep away for a bit it would be good for my health as as soon as China comes, Japan is a week later so ne rest there and by then with only one race after that, Brazil, the championship battle may be as close and tense as ever for both titles....... or it could also be over.

Or, given the FIA, the championship could be decided in another court battle.

I hope not. Not this time...... Unless they have already decided Massa/Ferrari should win it and Massa were to stuff it up. Please I hope not. It gets to a point that if it were real (The consipracy) the FIA are going to find it hard to make any "Made Up" penalty on Lewis Hamilton/McLaren hard to be credable. Although he did do wrong at Spa, the penalty was a bit harsh and the inadmisabilty of the McLaren appeal was handled stupidly. Why waste McLaren's time and money going to court and then rejecting the appeal is what I cant understand. They could of just told McLaren no in the first place and then McLaren would of not wasted time and money.

I wonder why this has been started when, in actual fact, it is the Japanese race that is in two weeks' time, with the Chinese race a week later. :hehe:

To the guys who don't like the track (as a spectator or sim racer) - I don't like watching it but, strangely, I find myself to be one of the few people I know who don't feel disoriented when driving it in the simulators. Except for on the first couple of corners, which are really badly designed.
