It's 30 years since BMW made their only supercar to date, the M1. Made by BMW Motorsport and also had its own race series where plenty of F1 drivers of the time such as Alan Jones, Hans Joachim Stuck and Nelson Piquet senior took part.
Even today, 30 years later it still looks a stunner. It's this type of car that makes me want to buy a BMW as my next car (once I complete all my payments on my current Vauxhall Corsa, still 2 years to go...) but because the M1 is such a rarity, I would only ever be able to afford one if I won the Lottery.
