It looks like the insides of something your cat will have caugh, he's probably eaten the rest and just left that behind. Emmy - one of my cats - used to do that a lot, leave some of the remains on the doorstep.

Very strange but it kinda look's like it may be part of an intestinal tract? Cat's are a trip as they will bring their owner's the strangest thing's as an 'offering' to the pack leader and to show "I got your back bro"
