Bernie needs to get 2 new teams for the grid to fill the spaces, especially as I believe that we could lose up to 2 more teams in the next couple of years (TR - FI ? maybe even Honda or Toyota).
Has anyone heard of any interested possibilities?
With the current financial problems around the world, car sales are down (in Europe, USA, Australia at least) this may make any potentially interested car manufacturers a bit nervous at present.
The customer car rules have to be looked at. I think that this could be a prime time for an independent(s) to join in.
Its a shame that it seems that the Super Aguri set up is now split up and sold. I know that it was outdated but it was a point to start and most teams would, I think, like to come in with some infrastructure in place. To start from scratch is expensive and slow. That's why I think it a good time for indys. They will at least, probably, be racing in a different format (GP2?)

Skoda F1s cars would be so revolutionary with the driver cokpit at the back with the driver facing the wrong way and the engine the size of a pee hidden in the nosecone.

Drivers:
1)Gaston Mazzacane (for money)
2)Thomas Enge (for kicks)

test drivers:
Hidiki Noda (blast form the past)
Anthony Hamilton (kick starting the career he never had :sperm: < this smiley looks alot like him.. weird)

how emense would that be? of course im lying, there is no Skoda F1 :bowtie:

A Spanish group are looking at buying some of Super Aguri's assets with a view to starting up a Formula One team. Perhaps we'll see them in a few years. If they do get off the ground, no doubt they'll be trying to persuade Alonso to come to the team for the glory of Spain!

No chance, VW wouldn't let Skoda nor Audi enter F1. And that's sad. Just what we need. Audi and Peugoet are scared they will get whipped.

Does anybody know if Ultimate are still looking to enter next year? Wonder if Pro-Drive are still looking for an entry at all?

Peugeot is capable of eventually producing a title winning engine. The didn't stick around long enough. They claim F1 would take their attention away from their WRC efforts.
Remember Mercedes had no success for years while in the Sauber and even in the McLaren for a while. All of them started at the bottom. Renault, BMW, Ford, Honda, Ferrari, etc, all began with little return, and all of them eventually claimed real estate at the top of the hill. Toyota is still at the bottom. New manufacturer entrant candidtates should look long term rather than be scared.

I want to see Ford back but it will not happen :banghead:

Unless a huge sack of millions of dollars suddenly appeared outside their factory.

I'd like to see Cosworth back, they had been working on a current spec V8 unit with Williams in 2006 and had a long-term development plan on it until Williams got the Toyota engines.

For the glory of Spain. I like the sound of that. :hehe: Or even better, how about a Slovenian group buy out Super Aguri and then that team will get my full support. And if they power it with Ferrari engines, then that will be just PERFECT.
