Montoya was very exciting to watch in F1. He was not intimidated, and really enjoyed the racing and the competition.
Too bad F1's aren't unbreakable

I guess all the pit- passing and strategy in F1 never really appealed to him...

Nah, he was just getting too chubby, so he quit and went to the American-sized wide-assed Nastycars where he fits better :mrgreen:

Montoya was great to watch and a fantastic racer, but ultimately lacked the physical conditioning and consistency to be a regular race winner and world champion.

Apparently got tired of the F1 fans calling him chubby... to NASCAR fans he must look bullimic :)

Translation for racechick: this is code for being too fat and lazy to make it in F1

There were moments when it was very exciting to watch Juan Pablo, but I personally feel that the Schumacher-Hakkinen rivalry was much better.

I enjoyed the days of Montoya and Schumacher. Montoya was an unpredictable driver who made it very exciting for young viewers. I think that this was one of the reasons I got into F1 and why he was my favourite driver until he left for NASCAR :(

He was a good Michelin Man.

Now does that mean he was good with Michelins or did he look like the Michelin man? :hehe: (until Racechick sees this thread :P)
