I was in Duesseldorf over the Bank Holiday long weekend, I didn't manage to see the race as the GF wanted to go on a romantic drive  , however I did get to cruise at 200kmh on the AutoBahn so it sorta made up for it.

I did however watch the Qualifying on Saturday on RTL, my lord they have some good coverage.

Firstly, every 30 seconds you saw t!ts and @ss wandering around the pitlane in nothing more then dental floss, gotta love the Germans for their appreciation of nice looking women.

Secondly you had tons of cover stories, interviews, behind the scenes action, think it went from 2-3 hours.

Thirdly, (bud, McLaren Fan, RaceChick, brace yourselves) they showed coverage of a soccer match held by the drivers in the lead up to the race, Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton getting very chummy on the pitch, they even had Schumi slapping Hamilton on the @ss a couple of time after a good play

Amazing F1 coverage, ads only every 30 mins, pity I couldn't understand any of it

 Gotta love the unlimited autobahns . I found the German's driving was impeccable too - they seemed actually understand lane discipline and were very good at judging the speed of cars overtaking them so they didn't pull out in front of you when you were doing warp speeds - the UK could learn a lot ;)

Nice. I didn't know RTL covered F1, I have RTL on my cable... I'll try and see if for Canada I am able to find their coverage. Do they cover F1 live? or do they run at alternate europe-friendly schedule?

I'm absolutely annoyed by FOX Sports - Latin coverage. To being with, they cut out the press conference and podium ceremony for the 07 Brasil GP, for football. Also at Monaco last week, i couldnt see the press conefrence. :x
Most of the times, they are simply stating the obvious... or they completely mistake a statement from an english-spanish translation. it could be worse though... they could be hardcore Alonso fans. Which they are not.

So definitely, I'm looking for an alternative. Speed is really nice for the American series, DTM, British Formula etc. But they don't cover F1.

What ITV don't want you to see.

Along with........

every 30 seconds you saw t!ts and @ss wandering around the pitlane in nothing more then dental floss

Oh, hang on. I hope you're not talking about Mosley!

RTL covers F1 "live" - that means with a few minutes delay for whatever reason

And you are right - the coverage is great although they concentrate a bit too much on german drivers

No, I'm serious. Apparently you have a different Speed than I do. i must have Speed for Latin America. Every GP i check to see if Speed is broadcasting, but sadly, No F1. Occassionaly they show some GP racing stuff... but not the races or practice.

I think Fox Sports must have the F1 rights in Latam. They show Q and the Race live. But its completely trimmed and the commentary stinks :?

That really suck's that SPEED for latin america does not cover F1  ! I think a channel should not alter their coverage/programming but only the language if necessary.

Subject to blackouts - that's what it usually says on Speed. It has to do with the rights for different TV markets, so it's BE...again

A friend of mine watched the Monaco GP on Speed TV over cable, and due to the two hour time limit the post race interviews were not shown. Network coverage is different than watching a dedicated sports channel like Speed TV on DirecTv satellite.

Exactly. It sucks :x:!:
The worst is that I know Speed has great coverage of everything they broadcast...

In the 90s I was able to choose from sometimes up to 3 broadcasts. Now its force-fed and because of this, they don't really care about the quality of the broadcast. I can only watch good coverage when I go to my parents', cause they have Dish.
