Tonight, in the Forumula 1 chatroom, a bunch of us got to thinking about revisions to the FIA's rules. One thing ed to another and were plotting to run in for the FIA Presidency. Here are our proposed rules:

Yes... when we set off for Paris on our quest to bring about the golden age of F1, these rules will make Mad Max squirm...

Way too many rules! Bring it down to basics. E.g., rule 24 is a very good one

al4x, it seems like you were not part of that Forumula committee that came up with the new rules, right? Because surely had you been, there would be a provision that guarantees no deer has been harmed and never will in the course of an F1 race

Ah, yes. That was a fun evening. And I think the new FIA would be much better than the current one. Formula 1 would be better

Only on TV so that we can see it. No talking to websites and magazines even if there's pictures.

great rules but this should be instated
Rule 89
a: cars 1-11 to qualify for normal race grid
b: cars 12-22 to qualify for a reversed track

now that would make f1 intersesting

It's a 36 car grid, but more to the point, what on earth would we do that for? Someone starting in the bottom half could never overtake someone in the top half and corrected time is an unfair implementation of this.

yes but, my point is 1 car is going 1 way 1 is going the other, its just the fastest to get to the line

Yeah, but overtaking is what makes racing exciting.
